I thought it was the tape on your license plate, reducing drag of the raised letters that got you in the low 38's.
Keith, if you're going to the trouble of updating the times I'm certain I did get a cone on my last run, it doesn't change placement in the class but does overall
Hoping karma will come aroung and lead other folks to be honest when they get an unmarked penalty.

Well lets see... I spent what? A year and a half :omg: working 3 out of 4 heats at the timing trailer while trying to get the computer process stable and accepted? Donna and I spent many a monday night auditing results.

The #27 MR2 in novice is shown in the incorrect class. It should be STS2, not STX. I teched it and changed the card, but it apprently wasn't picked up in the computer.

MR2 Spyder is not STS2. It's on the class exclusion list. CSP is where it goes. (ouch)

Donna and I will go back and audit the classing on the cards. If there is a hand written entry on the card that does not match the computer I will change it.

Thanks for the catch. Hillary was almost right. It does to take a village to properly class cars.

So many jokes... so little time...
David, seriously. It's bad enough trying to figure out "classing intent" of the rulebook before checking the specific exclusions for "oh, did they decide to stuff this car on THAT list?"

Quick question if anyone knows the answer..
Don Jones is listed on his card in an STX subaru but in the computer in an 88 bmw in HS. The only older BMW I recall I thought had different wheels on it. I am not accusing anyone of anything just making sure eveything is covered.

Sorry neither the computer or the card show CSP.
It was decided at the registration table that morning. I know of at least three people that can confirm this, including Rich. Also I know the computer
did
at one time have this correct because I watched the person reclass his entry information.

Don was in a borrowed Subaru, so the card should be correct.
Also, GREAT COURSE!!!!

I appreciate where you are coming from. I always strive to compete honestly and fairly. I have tattled on myself a few times.
Having said that, I am afraid I cannot give you the cone penalty you want. The card has what looks like maybe a tiny check mark in box with the time but all other penalities from that heat are marked a '+1', '+2', 'OC', etc... VMSC policy is that the card are gospel above all else. Since the marking does not match the rest of the penalties in the heat and I am not psychic, I am going to err on the side of caution and rule it as a clean run.
Even though you are reporting on your own run I do not thing it is prudent to make after the event changes based on word of mouth. Once the event closes down and the cards and computer are packed up it is done.
Again I understand your sentiment. A trophy will gather dust and eventually get packed away to be forgotten, but my reputation will stay with me until I die (and maybe even longer if I am really a jerk)

Since it takes him from second place in CS to first in CSP I think it would be fair to ask someone who remembers the change to chime in if they can. Its not that I don't believe you Lonnie but it does affect trophy position.
If our point keeper can tell me that previously the majority of Richard's points are in xSP classes that will be good enough for me to discern intent.
Anyone?

Thanks Keith, but I wouldn't say I wanted the cone
That just gives me some encouragement to make sure my fast run is a clean one next time. Glad it wasn't a trophy issue, otherwise I'd feel more guilty. (Although I wish it had been fast enough to trophy)
Best of luck to everyone attending DC Pro this weekend, from talking to Brent it sounds like a really cool setup.

It would probably also take him out of the top 10 in PAX.

...Lonnie's final words as he hesitantly handed me the blue key on the blue key ring to his blue 10AE, were, I'd run it in CSP!:omg:
I DON'T wish to receive a trophy or the little plate for CSP...
Thanks again Lonnie!!

I could make it a fun run but then you lose your points towards the end of year. I could DSQ you but you lose your end of year points.
What Prepared class does the miata move into? If no one is in it then we don't have to worry about it.
Its not exactly fair to just say 'I don't want the trophy, give it to second place...' Well I don't know if 'fair' is the right word there but it would open a whole can of worms I don't think the club wants.
I'm not trying to be a p.i.t.a. but I have to be fair. Comp. committee? Rule Gurus? Mr. President? Anyone have any feedback on this?

When Patrick Lloyd moved to F/S, it was because he was driving my Z-28, not his Acura as the current results state. I'm pretty sure that this too, was changed on his card. Thanks.

I think the Miata goes CS->CSP->DP->EM/SM2. Could be wrong as I haven't dabbled in those classes myself, but I've seen Miatas in those classes before.

Yes. i don't think there is an issue with Patrick's move since I don't think the Z-28 is eligible for his original class.
