Tell 'em you heard it here first.  The Oxity Banks rally will run from Portsmouth to DC on June 24.  It's to be in the style of the Cannonball Baker Memorial Trophy Dash, and it's going to be sanctioned by our very own Old Dominion Region of SCCA.

Set the date aside, and stay tuned.  You'll need to be back in time for the A & J Texas Holdem rally, 'cause that one's a VMSC points event.

See you at the first control,

The rally seems to be shaping up as quite a wild affair.  It seems you have to place bets as to how well you'll do.  In addition, there will apparently be casino gambling in DC or at least "up the road".

Glorioski!  Flyers will be out soon but this doesn't seem like an event for the graybeards (including me).  Seems like ya need some rally knowledge, a fast car and the ability to drive it, a willing navigator (hang on), and the desire to win a cash prize.

I guess you could pay for some autocross tires this way.Cheesy

If it is anything like the last Oxity event, which I missed at the last minute, the only thing that mattered was who got to the finish line first..

I hope Oxity is providing the insurance.

I'm sure the route they have planned out is fantastic, though.  The R5 course was a real joy.
