Hey guys, I saw a bunch of you at the C&C meet the other weekend and it didn't dawn on me to ask.

I was going to do my 60k service, which includes a valve adjustment, I just don't have the time to do it myself with school... and shop prices are just out of my range right now.

I thought some of you may know someone that does house calls or likes to do a little side work on BMW's that would be able to perform a valve adjustment for me?

Much thanks!

I'm not a BMW (Bring Mein Werkzeug) guy , however, why do you need valve adjustment ? Do those cars don't have hydraulic lifters ?

Or about what type of valve you want to adjust on that Bring Mein Werkzeug car ?

If the car runs just keep driving.

I recently bought a Z3 from Scotty, 804 350 8707 in Chester.  He had the Z3 for 7 years and it was well cared for.  He also has at least 2 M3s and he works at Midas full time, does BMW work on the side.  Might be worth a call if you still want to farm it out.

Thanks guys - so they do actually have hydraulic lifters, but they also have a rocker arm and shims between the spring and cam lobe. The shims seem to wear over time.

I'm contemplating taking this on myself now after watching a bunch of videos, doesn't seem terribly hard.

Thanks for the contact, I'm not sure what I'm going to do right now, I'll def. keep his contact around.

ps. love the green machine!
