Off season?  What off season?  Our first event of 2006 is on Saturday, January 28th- just 6 weeks away!  We've set our season schedule, so make your plans now!

News Flash! - Officially supported for 2006 will be 3 classes to accommodate cars running rally tires, snow tires, and any other tire that didn't meet our "street tire" definition.  You can find these classes, along with our 2006 schedule, on our event pre-registration page at
http://www.thscc.com/rallycross/prereg_rallyx.html

Come on out and help us make our 3rd season our best!

Just a reminder that THSCC's first rallycross of the season is coming up on Saturday, January 28th- that's less than 2 weeks away!  This event will be at our great Four Oaks site.  Please note that we will be allowing rally tires in 2006 in our NU2, NO2, and NO4 classes.  Snow tires, all-terrain tires, and other knobby tires are also permitted in these classes.

If you plan to come (and we hope you do!), please remember that you will be standing around outside for many hours in late January, so dress warmly!  Fortunately, Christine will be grilling burgers and hot dogs for lunch ($5 for a meal including chips, drink, and dessert), so you can get a little warmth in you midday.

To sign up, please visit our registration page at http://thscc.com/rallycross/prereg_rallyx.html

Event info, including times, prices, and directions, can be found at http://thscc.com/rallycross/events/2006/2006-0128info.html

Thanks, and hope to see you there!

I don't see anything on your site indicating what types of vehicles can participate.  In standard autocross SUV's a pretty much a no-no.  We have a 92 Jeep Cheroke Laredo we might want to run.  is that allowed?

I trust you got my email reply- but we missed you and Donna there, Keath!

44 drivers turned out on a beautiful and sunny (though chilly early) day this past Saturday to sling some dirt and have some fun.  Event chairs Simon Wright and Cosby Wood brought us "Arctic Roll", featuring a pair of fairly fast, fairly technical courses.  Of the 44 drivers, 8 were using rally tires, and we didn't notice any appreciable difference in the rate of course degradation during the day, so that's a good sign.

Results can be found at
http://www.thscc.com/rallycross/events/

Some photos (dialup users warning- big download!) can be found at
http://home.att.net/~kevinmallen/thscc_rallyx_012806.htm

Our next event is Saturday, March 25th.  Site is still TBA, but it's going to be 1 of or 2 regular sites, so we'll let you know in plenty of time.

Hope to see some of y'all there!

yes I got it but we decided not to make the 2+ hour drive and then have to rush back to get cleaned up for the VMSC banquet.  Maybe next month.
