I know we do group rate dyno days and tire mounting days once or twice a year, so I was wondering about a group rate alignment day next spring before the season really kicks off. I know at LEAST 3 of us got race alignments at Dyke Tire in the last few weeks, so I thought it would be cool if VMSC approached them about doing an alignment day next spring or something. Richard is the guy there that does their custom alignments and he does a great job. Just an idea.

It was just an idea,  I was thinking whoever organizes the other things would know how to go about this

There is no one person or group who organizes these events. For example, I organize the dyno event and have for a number of years because I had the relationship with Mark and Kevin at Performance Autosport and I wanted to do it. Someone else, I think Justin, organized the tire mounting day. If you want to see the alignment event happen, my suggestion is make it happen. If you want to talk it through with others who have done something similar, come to a Board or membership meeting and we can do that. Or give me or someone else on the Board a call, or send an email.

Hope that makes sense. Sounds like it could be a fun event.

At one point I was think buying a set of race scales. They are available for a little over 1k. If a few people would be interested to use them for a small fee, it may make sense.

I have scales, just not a whole lot of time.  I could block off a day if a few people wanted their cars corner weighted at the same time.

I also have scales and equipment to do manual (string-box) alignment work. While my driveway isn't flat, I did build a set of ramps and pads that go inside my trailer and pretty perfectly fit a Miata. I can level the trailer fairly easily, too.  It's a fair amount of work, but the results are better than hoping the ground is flat.
