I am registered already along with two coworkers. What are the helmet requirements and is there any rentals.

I have a snell motorcycle 2000 helmet used for auto-x before. Will it work? Or is it too old.

I am driving a 2004 bmw m3. I have never auto-crossed it am looking forward to pushing it. My coworkers will be driving a e39 528i and a early 2000 mustang with a cobra motor. We are looking to have a lot of fun and can not wait.

Welcome!!

I will put in a plug for getting an SA rated helmet if you are going to continue with autocross.

I wondered what the difference was, and did a little research.  M helmets are rated for one major impact, while SA helmets are rated for several small ones.  What this means is that if you bump your M helmet on anything at all, you really ought to replace it.  (After all on a motorcycle, you are unlikely to get any small bumps!)  Whereas the SA helmets expect you will probably bump your head around in the cockpit occasionally.   They also offer some level of fire resistance.

Not a big deal for Saturday, just a thought.

Had a blast Saturday! Thank you for hosting a great event. My friends and I are looking forward to attending other events in the future. I am having a little trouble understanding the results. Can someone explain to me how i did. It is showing me place in novice in spot 1T. car 412 black m3. Does this mean I say goodbye to novice and go full on STU? If so I have a lot of stuff to do to my car to make it stu competitive or i may have to find another class like BSP or SM?

Congrats on your win ! Generally Novice is over when you win it or you have had at least a few events under your belt. I would wait before you start making changes just so your sure what you want to do to the car and don't look back wishing you had spent your money on something else like tires instead of a sway bar or something like that.
