David,

Thanks for sharing!  Were you able to get up close and personal with either the Subaru or Toyota FT-86?  Any impressions?  I've heard its a Miata with 4 seats, but I didn't know if the back seats were glorified shelves or actually useable.  Haven't had a chance to sit in one yet.

My '99 Subaru Impreza is at 165K miles, and one of these is a very strong contender for the next DD.  Can't wait to drive one.

The Toyota was not there, only the Subie. It was roped off so you could not see inside very well. I really didn't look at the back seats. Overall, a very nice looking, aggresive car. I tink I read that it had a limited slip which would really help. They were otherwise short on details.

Interesting.  I suppose I'll have to wait until they actually release the darn thing to dealerships.

The Toyota lady said they only have one on the show circuit and it was in Chicago.
