Hi everyone!

Sorry for the very newbie questions, but I haven't auto-x'd in a couple years, so my class definitions are way out of date.  For reference, Street Touring was still STS and STS2 last time I ran.  Are these the most up to date version of the rules?:

http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/Documents/2011%20Tech/2011%20SCCA%20Solo%20Rules.pdf

I'm intending to run my 1985 AW11 MR2.  It has Tokico 5-way adjustable shocks, whiteline sway bars, a catback, and a lightweight flywheel.  My understanding back then (I was in an E30 with similar mods, the MR2 is new) was all of these were allowed, even the flywheel, which surprised me, but it was explained that STS was originally set up to capture all the non-auto-x people and allow them to be competitive with 'typical' street car mods...aka ricer...no just kidding.

Is that still the case?  I know the '89 Civic SI is the car to have, but is my car even legal?  Otherwise, I'm assuming its Street Mod, do not pass Go, do not collect $200.

I have no idea of the weight or manufacturer of the flywheel, didn't know it was on there when I bought it, just that the clutch was gone, found it on the clutch replacement and was like, "Hmm...I thought this revved a little too freely, even for a 4AGE"

Thanks for any help you can give!  Smiley

With Tokico/Eisbach struts and a brake upgrade kit awaiting my attention in the garage, there are at least two of us interested in the answers here.....   Shocked

BTW I've found this book to be an excellent resource on fixing up an MR2.  Not only a great reference, but a fun read as well!

It does look like they haven't finalized the 2012 solo rules, they have a draft posted on the SCCA website though.  All the suspension work is fine for STS, but I didn't see anything about the flywheel.  That could put you in CSP (or SM) if it's not allowed.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of.  Oh well.  Who needs PAX, anyway?
