I'm planning on heading to VMP for Street Wars next Friday, 10/28 if it's not raining.  Gates open at 5, racing starts at 6.  I think it's $17 to run, I've only been once before but it wasn't super busy and I must have gotten 6 runs in about 2 hours (I think they go for 4 hours).  Anyone else interested?

I'm going to try to bring the Civic AND the wagon so I can get a few runs in both of them.  The Civic ran something like a 13.5@102 a couple of years ago on a 90 degree, humid day on 195/60/15 street tires.  I'm hoping with the stickier tires and cooler weather that I can get that down a few more tenths.  I'd like to see a low 15 from the wagon.  Don't be intimidated if your car is "slow", it's not competitive and I've seen 17+ second cars there.

Not interested in running, but it might be fun to see - I've never been.

Yeah, we'll see what the weather does.  I don't think they'll even run if it's raining.

I would go but looks like the Evo's clutch is starting to slip  Sad

Time to look into different clutch options.  Anyone got a lift and be down for working on a clutch sometime in January or February? lol Pizza and beer on me haha.

Oh well, it looks like it's going to rain anyways.  I'm gonna play it by ear, but for now it looks like I'll have to find another date.

VMP's site says they canceled "daytime test and tune" as well as all of tomorrow's events so I will assume nothing is going on there.  Will try and find another date.  I know there is another street night next Friday and a Test and Tune on Saturday, I've gotta see if I'm free though.

Too bad. I would have like to see the wagon run and its times.

Well, looks like this week isn't going to work out for me.  I may have to wait until next year.
