I also have 20 new ones sitting on my shelf (12 Chevy, 8 Honda), so that makes either 47 or 67 depending on what you count.

Agreed. And I would include in that category, plugs attached to non-functioning equipment! All 17 of my spark plugs are in engines that have run recently - 16 of them within the past 6 hours.  |

You'd be surprised how thin a layer of dirt you get when you spread that out over a acre or so of yard. |
