Hi - I've ran my 2008 Miata with the club a few times but I'd like to bring my 1988 Evante MK I (
www.obrox.com/evante) up and run it this weekend. It's pretty much classless. I ran it at Pungo several years ago but don't remember what class we put it in. I don't care at all if it is competitive in class - just want it to get through Tech.
Its really unusual, only about 108 were built and there are only two in the USA so its not on any list. Its a lot like an old Lotus Elan, but meant to be an upgrade, not a clone, and not a kit car. I've modified the engine, changed it from carbs and points distributor to EFI and EDIS (megasquirt), and changed the cams. And the springs and shocks are modified. Displacement is about 1760, has about 150 HP, (Dynos at 125 RWHP) is really small, fiberglass body, and weighs around 1500 lbs. I've got a set of about 3 yr old, unused, autoX slicks to run on it.
No additional safety equipment, no roll bar, just the stock seatbelt etc. What class can I put it in to get through tech and have some fun?
