I suggest we purge all accounts from the registration system that do not have valid e-mail addresses. We can create a flyer to give to EVERYONE that comes to the next event indicating this is being done. We can also put messages on the web site and I would guess our web guru can put a message on the registration system login page.
I DO NOT (per web guru instructions) approve any account request that does not have an e-mail address (how do they expect to get notified that it has been approved???)
Or perhaps it is time to purge all users from that database and create fresh. What we need is for those with the PHP knowledge and talent to step up and offer some time to our web guru to help him figure out how to tie the registration and forum databases together.
I always find it odd that people can remember their login for the forum (yes I know you can get it to remember you) but cannot remember the registration system login.
Anyway, Pasha has done a great job and I know he has been overwhelmed by that 'real life' thing recently. I know a Scott and some others offered to help. Is there anything we can do to help coordinate this and get moving.
There are really a couple of things the reg system needs:
1. Make the user id's in the registration system either linked to the forum OR make everyone's user ID their e-mail address. For the most part their won't be duplicates. In those instances where a family share an address we can show them the glory of Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo mail.
2. e-mail my forgotten password (if the user id is the e-mail address this should make things mondo easy)
Who has PHP programming knowledge that can step up and help?

(Sorry for hijacking your thread genie but I have been doing a lot in the registration system with approving account requests, resetting passwords and such)
