Southside Speedway run

Brought my cool new little camera to RIR yesterday, but I must have pushed a wrong button somewhere because none of my runs got recorded.  So.... I'll just have to share this one from the Porsche club autox at Southside Speedway instead.  My fastest run of the day, where I shaved almost two seconds off what I'd been doing earlier.

I was all set to do even better on my next & final run, but instead I hit a cone and got flustered and missed a gate (or three).  Still - I came in laughing instead of beating myself up, so I guess I'm learning on a lot of different fronts.

It was - except for the walls which sometimes got a little too close for my comfort.

The one on the track at RIR in April was put on by the Shenandoah region of the PCA (Porsche Club of America).  The Southside Speedway event (June) was also the same group.  They list their events on motorsportreg.com .

Venue is the Pomona Fairplex in southern California, where I was visiting last weekend.  When I heard there was an autocross going on, I dragged one of my friends over to watch.  The place is huge - you need binoculars to see the car once it gets to the other end!   (And maybe a Segway for the walk through.)
