Here is a Goodyear video showing Carroll Shelby testing Goodyear tires on a 1967 Mustang GT500 at the Goodyear Proving Grounds in San Angelo, TX. This is where Dave started working in January as a tire engineer and performance test driver.

The track shown in the video is a 5 mile circle with parabolic banking. The equilibrium speed at the top of the banking is 140 mph. This track has been closed for over 30 years, but they have a number of other track and off-road test areas in over 7,200 acres. YOu can see an aerial view of the proving grounds here:
