hey everyone, i trying to finish up my project car so i can possibly participate in the last event or two this season.  Smiley Its a 90 mk2 gti and its still got a bit to go before its road/autocross worthy, and in order to speed up that process i am going to post in here. here is what i need and if you have contacts to people with these please hit me back.

List:

both front quarter panels, doesnt matter color<-- thanks ken
rear big bumper
two racing bucket seats, nothing too expensive, but comfortable, corbeau fx1s or something similar
windshield
205/50/15s or 225/50/15 4 tires total, street tires btw thanks Rick!
rear tail lights <---thanks ken
front windshield wiper arms<-- thanks ken
alot small vdub stuff i would be interested in

few things too add that are not necessary:
steering wheel set-up, quick release and all (security purposes)
white motorsport shiftknob (i know this isnt something everyone has lying around, but i think it would add to the touch)

build thread--> http://mk2vr6.com/board/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6411

here are a few shots of the current state

your june 21 novice winner right there!

what it looked like when i bought

anyways im hoping that this will spark a little interest. this car has been a group effort from the start, and its not looking like it going to slow down anytime soon.

thanks!!!!

-Paul

For cheap racing shells, you can't go wrong with Ultrashield Pro Road Race seats.  They're not DOT approved, but they're cheap, comfy, and keep you glued in place.

While not much cheaper than the Corbeau seats, you can recoup your money by simply bolting them straight to the floor, where the Corbeaus will want fancy mounts, rails, and sliders.  You might even get away with mounting the Ultrashields to your stock sliders.

I'm running Ultrashield seats, exactly the ones I recommended.  And the tires are not really directional.  There's no bias ply or rain channels to deal with, so I have absolutely no idea why Hankook baked those arrows into their tire mold.

Interestingly that's not the only inaccurate data on the Z214's mold.  In addition to the directional arrows, they also improperly list the compound.  This lead to numerous phone calls last year trying to ensure we'd been sold the right tires.

Someone on autocross.us posted up some free 205/50/15 Azenis...but they live in NC.  They say 2 have lots of tread.

I've got a set of 205/50/15 azenis 215.  They've still got 4/32 tread left but have gotten kinda hard from heat cycling.  You're welcome to them for free.  804-690-9526.
