I'm Tom, from Henrico, and I'm pre-learners. I was at the car show yesterday, and talked to some guys from here (if you remember a kid in a black north face jacket asking about the Miata and the Boxter in the display area, then chatting about autoX for a few minutes, that was me), picked up a business card and a flier for the club, and today I decided to come on here and register. I REALLY want to get into autoX once I get my license, and when the BMW club's inexperienced driver help thing was suggested, I was (and still am) all for it. I hope to go to some of the autoX events at RRC and Virginia Motorsports Park over the next few months and meet some of you all.

Hey Tom Welcome ! I think the next event is at VMP on the 29th if you go to this website "below"and go the the autocross link there is a list of events going on around the area hope to see you out there !

now would be a good time to pick up a miata and start fixing it up for when you get your license awsome autox car IMO .

I'll do my best to make it to the autoX at VMP at the end of this month. as for the Miata, if the first or second generation Miatas fit at all like the Miata they had at the virginia auto show this weekend, the older versions will fit me better than my Thor motoX gloves that I use for mountain biking. of course, if I could track down an old SW20 chassis MR2, that would work quite well also. then again, there's got to be a reason that the Miata has sold 1.3 million units since 1989
