1  Events / Autocross / TSCC Joy Fund Charity Autocross, Sept. 15/16, 2007 on: September 03, 2007, 08:02:10 AM
We understand that lodging costs are crazy in our area this time of year, so we have come together and come up with a solution for the out-of-towners that would like to run with us.

Quite a few of the TSCC members have offered up rooms at their houses for people traveling into the area for the event.

There is a thread on www.autocross.us listing rooms available.  PMing them through the forum would probably be the best way to contact the hosting party.

Here's the thread:  http://www.autocross.us/forums/index.php?showtopic=3499

We don't have any takers from the Richmond area?

Last year's overall winner (Mike Jr. Johnson) hasn't even signed up to defend his title.

4  General / Classifieds / 13x8s Rota RBs with 215/50-13 Kuhmo 710s (4x100) on: September 06, 2006, 06:00:57 AM
I am contemplating picking up a different set of wheels, so my current wheels and tires are up for sale.

The wheels are Rota RBs.  They 13x8 with a +4mm offset, and 4x100 bolt pattern.  They are typically found on Miatas and Hondas.  They are in good conditions.  There are some scratches and scuffs from when the tires were mounted, and cone collisions but not too bad.  No center caps!!

The tires are 215/50-13 Kumho Ecsta 710s.  They are pretty worn but have probably 6-7 more events before they cord.

Here's some pictures of them on my car...unfortunately I don't have any up close shots right now.  I need to go home and clean off some brake dust and snap some shots.

Here's what they look like brand new...(Please note again, mine do not have the center caps.)

I paid $425 +shipping for the wheels and $532 +shipping for the tires.  You can have it all for $500
5  General / Classifieds / Miata Sway Bar Endlinks on: June 19, 2006, 10:11:48 AM
I have adjustable end links for a 90-97 Miata.  You can find more information about them here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=8075333060&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT

These are specifically made for the 90-97 model, but will work on 99-05 Miatas also.  Although you will need to buy 4 10mm bolts and 4 10mm nuts.  If interested, contact me through a PM and I will be glad to give you the exact specs.

The rod ends have a static radial load capacity of 6200 lbs (using a 20% safety factor).

I have been using them on my CSP Miata for about 6 months now without any problems.

7  General / Classifieds / 1993 E36 BMW 325i $2500 in Va Beach on: January 02, 2006, 08:16:53 PM
$2500 OBO

If you’re looking for a babied cream puff, keep on looking.  This car is a great candidate for someone looking for a platform to build a racecar or somebody that is not worried about aesthetics.

The car is mechanically sound.  The interior is where it has problems.  The body is straight and has never been in an accident from what I can tell.  It has a new inspection sticker and is ready to go.

PM me if interested and I will reply with a number where you can contact me.

The Car:  VIN#  WBACB3313PFE09369
1993 BMW 325i
164k miles
5spd
315 Limited Slip differential
4 Door
Burgundy Exterior
Grey Interior
Sport seats (Power)
15" Bottle cap wheels

The Good:
New Lower Control arms
New Radiator
New belts
New fluids throughout
New slave cylinder
Strong motor
No body damage

The Bad:
Clear coat is peeling in various spots
AC does not work
One fog light is broken
Leather interior is cracked up, no rips just cracked
Transmission is a little chunky. (It shifts fine, but doesn't want to go into gear smoothly. It almost feels like the new slave cylinder shaft is too short and is not disengaging the clutch completely, or its out of adjustment)
Pixels on radio as well as clock work on and off.

The passenger front door panel is fine (relatively speaking), I ordered some new little plastic clips for the window track and didn't want to put it back together till I get them.

Here are some pictures:

While running my mouth announcing during the 3rd heat at VMP last Sunday, I noticed you guys are using a nice little FM transmitter to broadcast.

We (TSCC) would like to buy one for our club.  Can somebody give me some information?  What model?  How Much? Where to buy? Etc.

Thanks,

Shawn
12  General / Classifieds / Brand New Set of Corbeau Forza II Seats on: October 26, 2005, 01:06:41 PM
I just bought a set of Corbeau Forza II Race seats and unfortunately they do not fit in my Miata.

I paid $250 a seat for them and if I want to send them back, shipping is going to cost me around $50.  I called the company I bought these seats from and requested a RMA number to return them. I was then informed that there would be a 10% restocking fee. So it looks like I am getting shafted from all directions on this deal.

The price is $400 for the set picked up. I am willing to ship the seats at your cost. They are still packed in the original box, so all I would have to do is drop them off at UPS. I can measure and weigh the box if you are seriously interested.

They are black with white lettering.

Also note that Corbeau sells slider kits for just about every car out there, so you will not have to custom fabricate mounts to put these seats in your car.

You can find out everything you want to know about these seats here:
http://www.corbeau.com/products/forza2/forza2.shtml

I will be at VMP this weekend (10/30) for the autocross.  If you are interested, I can throw them in the truck.

Thanks,
Shawn
