3  General / Classifieds / FOR SALE: Sport Edition F7 wheels and NT-01 tires - $200 on: June 24, 2012, 08:17:26 PM
Let's try this one more time. Price is now $200.

These were used for two seasons on my 2007 Miata. I have since sold the car and they won't fit the 1993 Miata we'll (hopefully this year) be autocrossing. They have always been stored in the basement of our house deflated and bagged during the winter and in a room away from the heating system.

Specifics:
Wheels:
Sport Edition F7 from Tire Rack
# Bolt Pattern: 5-114 (aka 5x4.5)
# Size: 17x7.5
# Offset: 50mm
# Backspacing: 6.30"
# Weight: 20.4lbs.
# Finish: Silver Painted
# Construction: 1pc. Cast

Tires:
Nitto NT-01
215/45-17

Pictures!:

Close-ups of the tread can be seen at: http://picasaweb.google.com/cjbrown20/TiresWheelsForSale#

Asking $200 for all.

Justin,

Cindy and I both ran our 1993 Miata in STS. She is listed correctly but I'm not. Can you correct my class and results please?

Thanks.

Cory

That's great!  Thank you for all the welcomes and advice.  We will try to get down there.  I think March 29 is out as we are going to the Miata thing in Myrtle Beach, but after that, events that you sponsor will be great to attend.
Ralf

Look us up while you're there. My wife and I will be in our silver 2007 MX-5, license IH8 RAIN. I'll be glad to talk to you about VMSC, autocross, etc.

Are you going to the autox at M@MB?

10  Events / Other Events / Re: 2008 Annual VMSC Awards Banquet Information on: January 28, 2009, 07:07:55 AM
I spoke to Dana last night and I'm mailing a check to him rather than using paypal.
11  Events / Other Events / Re: 2008 Annual VMSC Awards Banquet Information on: January 26, 2009, 06:37:18 AM
I missed the deadline.  Embarrassed

Is it too late to send money via PayPal?
12  General / Open Forum / Re: broken windshield on: December 30, 2008, 06:59:40 AM
I knew you would have a novel take on my problem. You mean I shouldn't have welded the crack?

David
That might work if you could find a good enough TIG welder. Tongue Stick and MIG wouldn't do it as they're too messy.
13  General / Open Forum / Re: broken windshield on: December 23, 2008, 06:23:52 AM
Good to hear.

Oh btw when I get them back from Cory B. I still have my extra set of Camber/Caster plates for a MINI if you are interested. Since Cindy decided not to put them on and go with the Miata
Tony,

I'll be happy to meet up with you to return them. Sorry we didn't make it to the last autox to return them then.

Let me know what/when is convenient.

Cory

Please remove the registration for Cindy and me. We will not be able to attend the autocross.

Thanks,

15  General / Technical Help / Re: Cordless Impact Wrench on: November 10, 2008, 07:54:19 AM
I got a Goodyear impact last year at Pepboys. They had them on sale on Black Friday for an extra $20 off. It is plenty powerful for lugnut removal - even fairly stuck ones. In fact, it seems more powerful than my air-powered impact as the Goodyear got the crank bolt loose in my Miata where the air-powered one wouldn't budge it.

I also bought the extended warranty (I know...) but even with that it was a few dollars cheaper than the regular price.

Sounds good Engelbert. It'll be nice to see you out at an autocross again. The car looks fantastic!
17  Events / Autocross / Sunday autocross on: September 13, 2008, 07:17:23 PM
Cory & Cindy will not be at the autocross on Sunday. Sorry for the late cancellation.
18  General / Open Forum / Re: rust and trailer paint on: July 30, 2008, 05:56:51 AM
Unless you remove ALL of the rust it's going to come back.

After getting the big stuff off, use Naval Jelly or similar to kill and remove the rest of the rust. Follow that up with a metal etch to clean it and then prime and paint.
19  General / Technical Help / Re: STX Allowances... on: July 16, 2008, 05:30:13 AM

hmm what about top mount intercoolers ?

You cannot change intercoolers in STX. No changes in the intake tract are allowed past the throttle body.
20  General / Technical Help / Re: Classing help question on: July 11, 2008, 07:45:32 PM
Hmmm. This is a 2.0T according to the badge on the trunk lid.

GS is what I guessed but I wanted to get some other opinions as well.
21  General / Technical Help / Classing help question on: July 09, 2008, 05:08:05 AM
I have a friend who might come out in his 2008 VW EOS but I can't find a classification for it.

I've perused the SCCA handbook and their site and it's nowhere to be found. Is it considered a convertible version of another VW? I thought it was it's own model.

Anybody care to hazard a guess as to what class it will run?

It's open now!!!  Grin
23  Results / Autocross / Re: Weak attempt at sarcasm... on: June 18, 2008, 05:21:49 AM
I'm quite sure I ran a 32.943. If that could be updated and a large shiny trophy sent to my house I would be greatly appreciative!   Tongue

Thanks!
Eric

Well, according to the computer, my last (re)run was 6.250 so actually I should get that trophy. Grin Tongue
24  Events / Other Events / Re: Anymore driving schools planned? on: June 05, 2008, 05:53:15 AM
Evolution schools (phases 1 & 2) have been confirmed for Sun Sep 7 @ VMP.  These are by far the best autocross schools in the country.  Junior might even show up and instruct!  Details & pre-reg will be here shortly:

https://www.nasaproracing.com/nasa_event/show/?event_id=759

I attended the Evo school at VMP last year. While it was overall a positive experience, I felt somewhat shortchanged as we lost the entire morning of driving practice due to the noise restrictions at VMP not allowing us to start driving until 12:00 noon.

Are there any plans to get an exclusion on those restrictions this time so the students can get the full day of driving instruction that they're paying to get?
25  Events / Autocross / Re: HELP ME LEARN ABOUT AUTOCROSS on: May 28, 2008, 05:42:48 AM
Welcome to the VMSC board and we hope to see you out there in June for your first autocross. Most folks would be happy to let you ride along if you don't want to drive.

Also please turn off the caps lock. It makes your posts really difficult to read.
