I also emailed the organizer and he welcomes us coming over to promote the autocross and thinks we may get lots of interest. He also suggested we might work together next year to have a joint two day event with them with lots of autocrossing available. Hopefully we can get some folks interested in attending Sunday.

Thanks for the heads up on this one

Past events on MAE disappear after a few days. To see older events on MAE I normally click on "My Calendar" in the upper right and since I add all the events to my calendar, the whole year of events show up. You can probably try the same approach.

Which browser are you using on you computer, internet explorer, or some other, and what version? I can get Jim to check out a few of the issues.

Thanks to all the volunteers and instructors who donated their Saturday to make the school today a success - we saw a lot of improvement in all the students as they progressed through the day and it looked like they all had lots of fun

Come out and join us and we will help you figure it out. You might be suprised by some of the vehicles you see autocrossing, your car might work just fine. Here are a few links from our <HOME><UPLOAD AND DOWNLOAD FILES><PUBLIC DOUCUMENTS> section that will give you a good idea of what autocrossing is all about

Hope to see you there

We are very sympathetic with new folks and love to get them started off well in the autocross and rally sports. Autocross is a great way to learn car handling and develop driving skills.
The only wrinkle is that our insurance requires that all participants be fully licensed drivers, not those with just permits. When your son gets his license, we offer autocross schools and have co sponsored with BMW, a Street Survival school, which teaches car handling and "street" driving skills for younger drivers. Keep an eye on our website for announcements about future schools.
We would love to have you participate in any of our events to help you gain skills (and have a lot of fun). Our next autocross event is scheduled for March 29th. The insurance restriction applies to riders also, so your son would have to be a spectator for a while. We also have a members meeting at Candela's on March 19th that you would be very welcome to attend. You could meet a few folks and get a better feel for what our club is all about.

Sorry we can't be more helpful for your son right now.

Thanks to the Mark and  Kevin and the team at Performance Autosport for another great VMSC Dyno Day -  we had a good turnout. For those that were unable to attend, we were able to get 3 runs with A/F rations and printouts at a very reasonable cost. The hospitality at PAS is always fantastic and they usually have several interesting cars in their shop. They also hosted us for a pizza lunch.

We will attempt to post all the results from today when we get a chance.

Stop and talk to the guys at PAS, they do great work. You can find them on the LINKS button on our website or at http://www.performanceautosport.com/

It is further out

If you are coming out Broad street, turn right at the Exxon station, then right again and it is on your right

You can get off at the Manakin-Sabot exit, turn left, then right at the Valero station and it is on you left at the top of the hill

Near the water tower

Good news is that dude with the S54 won't be bringing it to dyno day, but I will be there with a Z06 to see what it looks like
99  Events / Other Events / Re: Dyno Day on: February 09, 2009, 06:35:50 PM
I don't think he meant no printouts, just no changes

p.s. he did let us make changes like air filters, etc, but no "tuning" between runs, so maybe he will do that again
