I'd like to have a Timer training session before the season starts up...I'm thinking Sunday, Feb 17th at 11am up here at my office and it's for everyone who is interested.  We can all grab lunch afterwards, just like last time.  Most of the bugs have been worked out, and trust me, there were some bugs!

Jon Deschent (young guy who's auto-xed with us for 2 years...had a white 1992 Nissan SE-R like mine) was in a bad motorcycle accident on March 29th and has been in MCV since.  I went to see him today (Easter 4-8) and he's on the road to recovery but he still has a long, long way to go.  Quite honestly, he's very lucky to be here right now and in one piece.  

I'm not a religious man in any way, but I will ask that everyone keep him in your thoughts for the next couple of weeks.  If anyone knows Jon well enough, I'm sure he'd love to see/hear from you.  I have his info and will email it to whoever wants it.

I'm also looking to head back up to MCV on Friday (4-14) after work, if anyone is interested in tagging along let me know and we can go as a group.

Sure thing Gene...basically the rallies.  Chuck Edwards is supposed to bring a proposed change for the scoring of the new Great Race Rallies along with a revised Contest Evaluation Report (CER) for after each rally.  We may have to address the way we score worker points for rallies...I'll know more after the Board meeting on Thursday.

This invitation is open to anyone who would like to participate.  I want to have a Comp. Committee meeting on Saturday, February 17th starting at 10:30AM. I figure we'll have at the same place where we have our Board meetings:

I wanted to wait until the new wireless timing equipment arrived before I called for a meeting...and since it FINALLY came in yesterday, I guess it's time!

If you've wanted to help out with timing but were afraid to learn the equipment on the day of an event, this is a perfect chance to get some hands-on training with our timing system.......For anyone who is interested, I would like to have a Timing & Scoring meeting on Saturday, February 10th starting at 10:30AM.  I figure we'll have at the same place where we have our Board meetings:

We'll set up the equipment inside the conference room and hook the laptop up to the projector.  We'll run through a few scenereos, (probably) find a few bugs in the software and maybe grab some lunch somewhere nearby afterwards.

Remember, by being on the Timing and Scoring Committee, you'll (usually) get to work inside the Timing trailer on those hot, sweaty days instead of out on the hot blacktop.
