I sent him an email.

Also, you can add my friend Marshall Jones to the list. He will be there to dyno his Supra.
2  General / Autos and Autosport / Re: Dyno Day Sign-up on: February 21, 2013, 01:14:50 PM
Unfortunately it's looking like I may have to drop out as well, unless I can get in early so I can leave by noon.
3  General / Autos and Autosport / Re: Dyno Day Sign-up on: January 28, 2013, 07:42:53 PM
I may be in it for myself again as well, but I won't know for sure until closer to the deadline. It depends on how fast my downpipe comes in and whether I can everything installed in time.
4  General / Open Forum / Re: Dyno Day on: January 28, 2013, 12:20:16 PM
My friend Marshall wants to dyno his Supra, but for some reason he is having issues registering for the forum. Just wanted to let you guys know to count for one more.
5  General / Open Forum / Re: Fluids used in AutoX and Daily driver on: January 12, 2013, 09:43:26 PM
Amsoil in the motor, Redline MT90 in the trans, whatever brake fluid....will be Amsoil when I redo my brakes this spring. GM supercharger oil in the SC.
6  General / Open Forum / Re: Injury's from working on your vehicle? on: January 07, 2013, 02:07:16 PM
On the 26th I opened up my knuckle on my index finger with an angle grinder/cutting disc while cutting heat shield tabs off an exhaust manifold. 4 hours waiting at the emergency room + 2 stitches later...... yeah that was not pleasant.

The other was last summer I was working on my head gasket and I was using a lamp sorta like this one:

I touched it with the really soft skin on the underside of your forearm below the wrist and got some really bad second degree burns in an area about the size of 3-4 US quarters. I still have a scar from that one.

I have a friend that needs some underbody rust patched for inspection. Anybody know a place?
8  Results / Autocross / Re: 10/14/2012 Results on: October 16, 2012, 01:29:22 PM
Bad news...we usually post results for the practice, but it looks like they weren't saved this time.  Either that or I can't find them, though I'm usually pretty good at that.  Sorry to disappoint.

9  Results / Autocross / Re: 10/14/2012 Results on: October 15, 2012, 07:25:26 AM
Sweet. I'd love to see how that went.
10  Results / Autocross / Re: 10/14/2012 Results on: October 14, 2012, 08:11:56 PM
Do times from the practice autocross ever get posted?
11  General / Technical Help / Re: Sorry, another class thread on: September 02, 2012, 05:28:29 PM
Just bought some Toyo Proxes R888's. I know this will put me into way higher class than I'm competitive in, but I don't care, I just want to see how fast I can get round the track. I assume this 100 tread wear rating tire puts me out of STC and into a street mod class of some sort?
12  General / Technical Help / Re: Sorry, another class thread on: August 07, 2012, 06:14:39 PM
So if I were to eventually run Star Specs it wouldn't change my class?
13  General / Technical Help / Re: Sorry, another class thread on: August 02, 2012, 08:15:18 PM
So STC? Also, what is the street tire thing when registering?

This is cool stuff. What camera are you using. That thing has a great sound
Stills are a Nikon P90
Videos are a GoPro HD Hero2 with this external mic:

15  General / Technical Help / Sorry, another class thread on: July 31, 2012, 07:47:49 PM
OK I have tried and tried to figure out what class I belong in to no success. SCCA classing rules are so frakking complicated. If one of you could help once and for all that would be AWESOME.
1988 Supercharged MR2
Dunlop Direza DZ101 195/50/15F, 205/50/15R
MR2 Spyder stock wheels 15x6F, 15x6.5R

Suspension/chassis:
rear sway bar
rear strut tower bar
Koni yellow shock inserts (rebound adjustable)
TRD springs
front camber plates
polyurethane bushings
heim joint rear tie rods
heim joint/adjustable sway bar end links front and rear
Quaife quick ratio steering rack/pinion

Drivetrain:
aftermarket air filter, otherwise stock downstream of AFM.
polyurethane filled motor mounts
ARP head studs
sold brass shifter cable bushings
stainless clutch line

Brakes:
porterfield HP R4S street/autocross pads
NAPA oem replacement rotors
stainless lines
master cylinder brace

Misc other stuff:
aftermarket steering wheel (Momo Monte Carlo 320mm)
shifter drop plate
TRD shift knob

Now the kicker is the fact that I have a slightly larger crank pulley to get an extra 2psi of boost (10psi up from stock 8psi). I would like to not factor this in (I feel like 2 extra psi for 150rwhp on a 24 year old 1.6L should not have to be in the same class with 500hp Subaru's) and I am not trying to win any championships (obviously, look at my tires), but that is up to you guys of course.

Thank you for taking the time to look at this.

You should add Truth in 24 (parts 1 and 2) to the list
18  General / Classifieds / 85-86 MR2 Rear Koni Shock Inserts (pair) on: May 07, 2012, 01:07:51 PM
Part # 8651-1072
Bought these from someone on MR2OC when they mistook them for MK1b rears, so I have no use for them. Apparently they have 0 miles, but they are a bit dirty from being attempted to be installed at some point. Comes in original box, still with the little plastic protector thingys over the adjuster tab, includes Koni knob adjuster. Does NOT include the gland nuts, you will need to order those from Koni (part number 73.25.01.001.1 at $14 each according to a Koni rep I emailed). Also doesn't include the nuts for the top.

Changes have been made. New results will be up tonight.

Looking forward to it. I need me some raw time results!

It was just an idea,  I was thinking whoever organizes the other things would know how to go about this
22  Events / Other Events / I had an idea on: April 08, 2012, 08:13:30 PM
I know we do group rate dyno days and tire mounting days once or twice a year, so I was wondering about a group rate alignment day next spring before the season really kicks off. I know at LEAST 3 of us got race alignments at Dyke Tire in the last few weeks, so I thought it would be cool if VMSC approached them about doing an alignment day next spring or something. Richard is the guy there that does their custom alignments and he does a great job. Just an idea.
23  Results / Autocross / Re: 4/7/2012 RESULTS on: April 08, 2012, 10:37:37 AM
weird...when I try to view in Firefox it tries to save it as a document and I can't see it, but Safari opens it fine. Are there going to be raw time results forthcoming?

25  General / Technical Help / Does C-Stock + Street Touring = STC? on: March 22, 2012, 09:28:02 PM
I see all these abbreviations for classes on the registration page, so if my MR2 starts in C-stock, but is modified to Street Touring, does that mean STC? Also does street tire class just mean "not slicks" basically? Sorry, I'm TERRIBLE at deciphering SCCA rules.
